Hi Sunil 1uF polyster capacitor will be quite small in size for the rated working voltage hence preferred. You can use paper, oil filled etc etc but they are bulky in size and heavy.
Hi Patrick you can increase to 70 LEDs, increase 1uF to 2.2uF increase 10uF to 22uF 350volt. other component need not be changed. this circuit cannot be converted into chasing/running light.
